International Pheran Day Celebrated at Polo View, Srinagar, Organized by BJP to Promote Kashmiri Heritage

International Pheran Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Polo View, Srinagar, highlighting the cultural and traditional significance of the Kashmiri pheran.
The event was organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as part of its efforts to promote and preserve the rich cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.
The programme was inaugurated by BJP General Secretary (Organisation)Jammu, Kashmir &Ladakh, Ashok Koul, who emphasized the importance of the pheran as a symbol of Kashmir’s identity, tradition, and resilience.
He said that celebrating such occasions helps in reconnecting the younger generation with their cultural roots and promotes unity and pride in local traditions.
Genral Secretary Anwar Khan,state Secretary and Prabhari Ganderbal Arif Raja,State Secretary Mudasir wani incharge programme Bilal parray, State Executive members Ruheena shazad,Shabir Mir senior leaders Manzoor Bhat and Adil Mir were participated in the event.
BJP State Executive Member and Co-Incharge District office construction projects Mohammad Amin Shah also participated in the event and highlighted the role of traditional attire in preserving cultural values and called upon people to continue honoring and promoting Kashmiri customs.
Party workers, local residents, and cultural enthusiasts attended the event, many of them wearing traditional pherans, adding to the vibrant and festive atmosphere.
The celebration reflected a collective commitment to safeguarding and promoting the cultural heritage of the region.
