Dr. Sajjad Shafi , MLA Uri, inaugurated a newly constructed four-roomed building at BMS Lataymar, Garkote, in a ceremony organized by the Department of Education, Zone Uri.
The building, constructed by the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department at an estimated cost of ₹50 lakh, is expected to significantly enhance the infrastructure and learning environment at the school.
The inauguration program was attended by prominent officials, including Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Uri, Ab. Kareem Blote, and In-charge Headmaster of High School Kandi Kaller, Gh. Rubani.
The Parent Committee Organizer (PCO) of BMS Lataymar, Kouser Ahmad Budoo, also played an instrumental role in the event.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Dr. Sajjad Shafi Uri emphasized the importance of improving educational facilities in the region and reiterated his commitment to the development of the Uri constituency.
He expressed hope that the new facility would provide a conducive environment for students to excel academically.He also announced smart class for Said school from next session
ZEO Uri, Ab Kareem Blote, thanked the MLA for his continuous support to the education sector.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the school staff and members of the local community, who appreciated the initiative aimed at fostering educational growth in the area.
