GANDERBAL 04 May: Jammu Kashmir United Movement President Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar got rousing reception from the people of Akhal Kangan.

The young party workers greeted the visiting leader with traditional music and drum beats. They were raising slogans hailing JKUM Party’s visiting leaders at the venue.

According to a press statement issued here, Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar while addressing the people said and urged the people to study the history of conventional parties and make an informed choice for the future, rather than be “exploited by hollow slogans” or become a “traditional vote bank of people who have along betrayed the sentiment of people.”

Jabbar said, “Nobody is happy about what was done on August 5, in 2019. But, let me tell you that we can have all our rights back only from New Delhi, not from any other country.

Only the creators of the problem are able to resolve it. JKUM party will not leave any stone unturned to safeguard the rights of the J&K people.

However, we do not want people to die for what can be achieved through peaceful and political means.

Therefore, I request you not fall prey to the deceitful politics of the traditional political parties again.

They want death and destruction to be continued for their political and personal gains.”

On the occasion, scores of socio-political activists join JKUM in presence of the party president Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar.

The prominent JKUM Party leaders who were present at the rally include Constituency incharge Kangan Atta Mohd Qamar, Ex Chairman MC Ganderbal Hilal Ahmad, state youth president Adv Hamid Fiaz, district President Sajad Ahmad, Spokesperson Muzaffer Ahmad, Ex Sarpanch Showkat Ahmad and others.
